Personal Lines – Sales & Retention Specialist

We’re seeking a motivated Sales & Retention Specialist to help grow and retain a strong book of business by delivering exceptional client service, proactively managing accounts, and driving new sales opportunities. This role blends relationship management, consultative selling, and community engagement to support long‑term agency growth.

Qualifications

  • Active Property & Casualty license
  • Strong knowledge of personal and/or commercial lines
  • Commitment to ongoing continuing education

Compensation

  • Annual wage range $44k to $57k plus commissions on new business and bonus incentives

About the Role

As a Sales & Retention Specialist, you will:

  • Provide extraordinary service to existing clients while ensuring coverage adequacy.
  • Manage upcoming renewals, proactively address underwriting or rate‑related concerns.
  • Assist with claims and escalated service needs.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation in our agency management system.

You will also support agency growth by:

  • Marketing and presenting proposals for new and existing accounts.
  • Identifying account‑rounding and cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Following our sales process with timely follow‑up and consistent relationship building.
  • Actively seeking referrals and promoting our referral program.

Community and brand engagement are also key:

  • Represent the agency at networking events and connect with centers of influence.
  • Support marketing initiatives, contribute ideas, and engage with agency content on social media.

And you’ll contribute to operational excellence by:

  • Leveraging agency systems and CRM tools to track activities and maintain compliance.
  • Collaborating with team members and contributing to a positive, efficient work culture.
  • Seeking better processes, utilizing technology, and driving continuous improvement.
